Control, customize, and enhance your images with parameters!

What are Parameters?

In Midjourney, a parameter is like a setting or option you can use to change how your image looks. Think of it as a tool in your toolbox that helps you shape the result you want. For example, you can use parameters to change your image's shape, style, and more. By adjusting these settings, you get more control over the final look of your generated images.

Using Parameters

Let's dive into how to use parameters in your Midjourney prompts. This formatting is the same for both our website and Discord. It's all about placement and formatting. You'll want to place your parameters at the end of your prompt text. Always use a space to separate the prompt text from parameters. Here's the right way to set it up: your prompt followed by two short dashes, the parameter text, a space, then the parameter value.

Remember these tips for success:

  1. Place Parameters at the End: Always put parameters after your prompt text.
  2. Watch the Spaces: Add a space between your prompt text and the dashes. Also, use no spaces between and right after the dashes.
  3. No Punctuation: Avoid commas, periods, or other punctuation marks in your parameters.
