Control the detail and processing time of your images with the quality parameter: --quality or --q
For more information about V8.1, see our Version article.
What is Quality?
Quality controls how much GPU time is spent making your images. This can change how the details and textures look.
In Midjourney version 7 the default setting for quality is 1. You can also set values to 2 or 4, which will use 2 times or 4 times more GPU time.
Keep in mind, the quality parameter only influences the first set of four images you create. It doesn't affect later variations, inpainting/outpainting, or upscales.
If you're looking to save on GPU time, give Draft Mode a try.
