Image Tasks
There are a variety of image tasks you can participate in. Some may earn you extra GPU time, and some affect your Personalization data. Be sure to read the details on each task.
Image Aesthetics
These tasks help build your Personalization data. You're presented with a grid of images. Click the images you like the best to select them. Continue scrolling to see more images, and picking your favorites.
Curate Explore page
This task is all about voting for the creations that will be featured on the Explore page. You're presented with a grid of multiple images. From each grid, pick the image you believe deserves to be featured—your vote helps decide what the community sees.
If you find an image you particularly love, use the heart button to add it to your favorites. For more details about an image—like its creator or prompt text—hold the command/control key and click the image to open it in a new window.
New Version Rating
Before a new Midjourney version is released, you may see an image rating task to help fine-tune and calibrate the new model. For this task, you're presented with two image options. Choose the one you find most visually appealing and that stands out to you aesthetically.
Not a fan of either image? No problem—just use the Skip button to move on.
Surveys
These surveys help us explore the fascinating intersection of personality and aesthetics. By sharing your thoughts, you contribute to our understanding of how different styles and preferences align with diverse personalities. Your responses shape our insights and efforts in making Midjourney more in tune with your artistic inclinations.

Earn Extra GPU Time
Some tasks come with a special bonus of extra Fast GPU hours. These hours give you more time to create images—a little reward for your efforts!
Important: You must have an active subscription to receive and use awarded Fast time, and it expires 30 days after it's awarded.
- Image Ratings: If you participate in image ratings and end up in the top 2,000 raters for the day, you'll earn one extra Fast hour. It's a competitive space, so keep in mind that the reward isn’t guaranteed. If you use Discord, the Midjourney Bot will send you a Direct Message letting you know if you've earned the extra hour.
- Surveys: Complete the surveys, and you'll be guaranteed those extra hours.
You can easily monitor your rewards on your Manage Subscription page, under the Usage Details section. Look for Purchased & Awarded and hover your mouse over the hours to see a breakdown of your purchased and awarded time and expiry dates for unused hours.
Any awarded Fast time you don’t use will expire after 30 days.
