Move or refresh your generated images in Discord using /show
What is /show?
The show command in Discord lets you to revive, refresh, or move your generated image to another channel within Discord using its Job ID. If you've lost track of where your image is in Discord, you can quickly bring up a new instance of it. If you generated your image before a new feature was launched, you can use /show
to refresh the results and see the latest updates.
Note: You can only use the show command on your own images.
Copy the Job ID
To use /show
you'll need the Job ID of your generated image. A Job ID is a special code that identifies each image made by Midjourney. It looks like this: 9333dcd0-681e-4840-a29c-801e502ae424. You can find it in the image's URL on the website, in the filename, or by copying it from our website or Discord.
-
Start by clicking on any image you've made on your Create or Organize page. This will open the image, revealing more options.
Use the options
button near your prompt text and click Copy and then click Job ID. This will copy the image's Job ID to your clipboard.
-
After your image is generated, click Add Reaction and select the envelope ✉️ emoji. Make sure to select the plain envelope emoji. If you're having trouble finding it, you can use the search bar at the top of the emoji window.
The Midjourney Bot will then send you a Direct Message with the Job ID. If you do not receive a direct message, make sure to check your Privacy Settings for the Midjourney Discord server and confirm that "Direct Messages" is toggled on to allow the Midjourney Bot to send you a direct message.
